Personal

Ira made Aliya from Brooklyn N.Y. in July 2000 with his wife and 4 children. He started working as an Outreach Specialist for Mercaz Harmony mainstreaming special needs students into regular classroom environments; here he was exposed to the Israeli school system, classroom environment and culture.

This position expanded into providing individual and family counseling and after seven years Mercaz Harmony Outreach closed down. Shortly after Ira opened his own practice working with the pre-adolescent and adolescent age group. Specializing in individuals with ADD/ADHD; ASD (Autism spectrum disorder), ODD (oppositional defiance disorder), anger management and social integration.

Ira Grotsky works as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT) in Jerusalem and Bet Shemesh specializing with pre-adolescent and adolescent population. He creates mini-attainable goals for each individual. Clients feel a sense of accomplishment once goals are met; this motivates them to complete future goals.
